Leeds fans name their standout performers from Salford clash
Leeds United fans on Twitter have struggled to decide between two players official club account asked them to name the man they were most impressed with after their 3-0 win against Salford City.
Kalvin Phillips was named as the official Man of the Match, but the club’s Twitter asked fans to name which other players they were thought had a good game.
The Whites were in charge for large portions of the game against Salford, and there are a few cases that could be made for a number of players.
Eddie Nketiah scored before half-time on his debut appearance for the Whites, and many supporters have already expressed how impressed they were by the Arsenal loanee.
Nketiah’s goal was assisted by another new signing in the shape of Helder Costa. The Portuguese winger has a fair shout of being named as one of the most impressive players from Tuesday’s fixture.
However, the aforementioned pair weren’t popular shouts from the fanbase as they instead gravitated towards two other stars.
The first player fans wanted to give praise to was Mateusz Klich. The Polish midfielder scored Leeds’ third goal which was a peach of an effort after a break from a corner.

Kalvin played well but to many loose passes in the 1st half, for me it was @Cli5hy MOTM, covered every blade of grass (that lung busting run, to get the ball and score) linkup play was superb 10/10

Another player who got a lot of mentions on Twitter was Ben White. The new signing was only playing his third game for United, but fans were already saying that he is usually always impressive and that this sort of performance doesn’t come as a shock.
